Steve Anthony
Since 1979, the name Steve Anthony has been recognized in media-markets around the world for his accomplishments and high standards. In Canada, Steve Anthony is an award-winning radio and television broadcaster and host was a founding VJ’s of MuchMusic, which, along with MTV, pioneered music-video television worldwide. During his 9-and-a-half year tenure at MuchMusic, Anthony did double duty, first as Morning Show host at CFNY (Toronto), and then, as co-host, launched CITYTV’s “Breakfast Television”, now one of the most popular TV brands in Canada. He also took over the morning slot at 97.7 CHOM, Montreal when the decision was made to replace Howard Stern’s syndicated show.
As host of “CP24 Breakfast”, owned by Bell Media, one of Canada’s largest broadcasters, Steve and the “Breakfast” team were able to launch the show against the decades-long dominance of CITYTV’s Breakfast Television, and, by audience numbers, take it to the #1 Morning TV show in Canada.
Having conquered many challenges in broadcasting, Steve has recently taken a hiatus to devote himself to other business ventures. His knowledge of the International Pop Culture landscape and his ability to be a national influencer brought him to Direct Coops to help smack business and TrellisCanna, at the forefront of the medical and burgeoning “legal recreational” Global Cannabis Industry.
